The V-CUBE 7 Illusion is now available in black and yellow - offering a new & different challenge to cubers! It's a 7x7x7 cube made up of black and yellow "cubies", forming a checkerboard scheme on the cube. It may at first glance look effortless to solve - just two colors, afterall - but look again (hence the name, Illusion)! Cubers who enjoy a little less intensified challenge will enjoy this 7x7 cube 2-color cube to help build up cubing skills. Also available in a Black & White version! V-CUBE products are a uniquely designed and constructed series of skill games, and the Illusion version is even more unique! They are 3D mechanical cubic puzzles that rotate smoothly on the 3 based axes of the coordinate system.

Quite an Illusion!

The V-CUBE 7 illusion is a fun cube! It may look somewhat intimidating a first glance, but if you have some experience with the various Rubik's cubes, you will soon realise that the checkered pattern offers you some rather nice symmetry. Basically, you will only need to solve one face of the cube, the 'special' side, with the reverse checkerboard pattern. Look for it - and concentrate on solving only that side; - the inherent symmetry of the cube will take care of the rest of the job for you. The cube is stickerless and it is quite heavy, 320 grams, which gives you a pleasant and comfortable feeling when holding and turning it. The rotation is good (or fairly good), with a little bit of a clicking sound into position. However, do not try out any kind of corner cutting; that may result in quite a bit of tidying up afterwards. I bought my cube from PuzzleThis in the UK. Their service was brilliant and the delivery was actually much faster than expected. I received the cube directly into my mail box in Norway only a few days after my purchase, which is quite impressive after all! impresive after all. Highly recommended puzzle-toy for cubers and children of all ages (8 ) - and it also looks very nice on display on your shelf as well as in every cube collection!
